Prior to venture capital, Bill ran two major ophthalmology businesses serving as the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Chiron Vision prior to its sale to Bausch & Lomb in 1997, and serving as Founder and President of American Medical Optics prior to its sale to Allergan.
